Marketing Specialist ( Electronic Advertisement )

Job Description

To manage awareness campaigns and maintain CETL’s postings on social media and the university website; to provide word processing and data entry support; and to design and create advertisements, posters, billboard signs and stands. Function Statement: • Plan and execute email, web, and social media campaigns to promote CETL’s initiatives and activities among UAEU teaching community members. • Design, build and maintain our social media (Yammer, FB, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) presence • Produce reports that highlight the effectiveness of social media activity by utilizing a range of tools and data sources. • Design and create advertisements, brochures, posters, and rollups. • Design and develop CETL’s monthly newsletter. • Write press releases and communicate them to UAEU’s Media and Communications Department (CMD). • Manage UAEU’s teaching community broadcasts. • Participate in CETL brainstorming sessions to identify new, creative, and strategic opportunities to support faculty. • Keep up-to-date with the public profile of other relevant organizations, and advise on significant developments in the use of websites, social media, and relevant content. • Perform any other duties, commensurate with the role, under the direction of the CETL Director. • Sufficient knowledge of required publishing and graphic design software packages.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in communication, e-marketing, business, or a related field is required • At least 1-3 years’ experience in managing websites and social media professional accounts • Experience working in the UAE or the region is preferred

Preferred Qualification

•BS degree in online marketing or a related field. •Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and branding. •Highly creative and innovative. •Good oral communication skills. •Strong typographical skills, and attentive to detail. •Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
