The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant/associate in the area of Structural Engineering. The candidate should be able to characterize new construction materials and use composite materials in reinforcing and strengthening concrete structures. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in experimental testing, analytical modeling and numerical simulation of reinforced concrete structural components.

• Research Assistant position requires a minimum of BSc degree in Civil Engineering. • Research Associate position requires a minimum qualification of MSc degree in Civil Engineering (Structural).

• Demonstrable willingness to support work in the lab. • Experience and skills in using AutoCAD and finite element software packages. • Evidence of good technical writing skills. • Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands. • Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace.
