2The Department of Biology of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) seeks to hire a laboratory instructor (Plant Biology) to assist its research and teaching activities in the Plant Biology laboratories. The successful applicant should hold a minimum of an M.Sc. degree in plant biology or a closely related field. Ideally she/he will have at least three years of working experience in a plant biology or molecular biology/microbiology laboratory. Basic skills in plant biology; including plant identification, plant DNA extraction and plant physiology techniques. Additional experiences in a range of plant biology-related instruments would constitute an excellent advantage. Candidates should be self learners and team players, while willing to extend their skills. Excellent English communication skills, and laboratory management experience are also required. The position location will be the UAEU in Al Ain. We offer a friendly, team-oriented and student-centered international working environment in laboratories equipped with up-to-date facilities.
