Job Description

The Department of Cognitive Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a faculty position in Psychology (assistant/associate professor). The area of specialization is open but applicants with competence in the fields of Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Abnormal Psychology will be of particular interest. The Department of Cognitive Sciences at UAEU is dynamic and diverse, with excellent research facilities. We seek a collegial and talented colleague in the discipline of Psychology. The UAEU is located in Al Ain city (Emirate of Abu Dhabi), on the border with Oman and about 1.5 hours’ drive from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi cities. The UAEU offers an attractive tax-free salary, free housing, medical insurance, and annual return airfares to the country of origin for expatriate employees and their immediate families. There is also a modest relocation allowance, as well as other benefits, including an education subsidy for children. Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Psychology.

Preferred Qualification

Preference may be given to applicants who can offer undergraduate courses in one or more of the following areas: Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Abnormal Psychology.

Expected Skills

The successful candidate is expected to have an excellent publication track record and a demonstrable ability to attract competitive funding. The language of instruction at UAEU is English, in which native or near-native fluency is required.
