Khalifa Center for Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology is currently seeking to hire a qualified candidate with either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field to join our team as a Research Assistant. In this role, you will be an integral part of our population genetics group and will collaborate with various teams at KCGEB. The ideal candidate should possess experience in fundamental molecular biology techniques and field research.

Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.

Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.

• Proficiency in handling DNA, RNA, and proteins, including extraction, purification, and electrophoresis. • Competence in working with various sample types, including plants, animals, and others. • Ability to perform gene cloning and transformation. • Experience in gene expression analysis. • Capability to conduct field trials and follow experimental design. • Proficiency in phenotypic and physiological experiments. • Basic knowledge of various Omics methods, such as whole genome sequencing, transcriptome analysis, proteome analysis, etc. • Strong organizational skills to facilitate meetings and collaborations among different groups. • Manages multiple projects effectively. • Meets multiple daily deadlines. • Prioritizes and organizes tasks. • Great focus and attention to detail. • Adaptable to new responsibilities. • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
