Postdoctoral Fellow in Plant Molecular Biology
Khalifa Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (KCGEB) is seeking a full-time postdoctoral researcher in plant molecular biology. The successful candidate will be offered a one-year position further extendable based on funding availability and performance. The successful candidate will primarily work on developing different transgenic crops, molecular analysis of transgenic plants and transcriptome analysis.
A strong background in plant molecular biology, especially in state-of-the-art technologies. Hands-on research experience leading to the genetic modification of different species. Demonstrated experiences in various bioinformatics analysis including transcriptome analysis. The candidate should be able to plan and work independently while being a team player. Outstanding critical thinking, skills, and excellent written and verbal (English) communication skills are necessary.
PhD in Plant Molecular Biology, Genomics and Biosciences, Biotechnology or a related scientific discipline with at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience, and a minimum of 3 first-authored and/or corresponding authored papers in peer-reviewed journals of high repute in the last 5 years.
Well trained in state-of-the-art molecular biology techniques, experience with plant transformation, CRISPR technology, experience with transcriptome analysis
