Assistant/Associate Professor in Agricultural Extension
The Department of Integrative Agriculture seeks to fill position in Agricultural Extension at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor with teaching, research, and community services responsibilities. The candidate must be a PhD holder who has written and published original academic research or produced some equivalent form of scholarship. He/she should have carried out distinguished activities in teaching, scholarship, and services, and should have spent at least four years as a full-time faculty member at the rank of assistant/associate professor and published intensively in high impact factors reputable journals. The candidate will be responsible in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in agricultural extension, technology transfer, community development, and technology transfer. He/She is expected to advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of academic endeavors.
The candidate is expected to have a strong background and expertise in the area of Agricultural Extension, earned a PhD in Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Education, Agribusiness or closely related fields.
- Competency in contemporary issues and challenges in relationship to Agricultural Extension at local settings. - Familiarity with societal, ethical, and environmental sustainability issues as they relate to Agricultural Extension; and - Desirable are candidates with a record of high-quality research and instruction in a student-centered environment, an engaged interest in collaborative learning environments, and an enthusiasm for working in a diverse and multidisciplinary intellectual environment
