Assistant Professor Molecular Biology/genetics of aging

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Assistant Professor to join Department of Biology at UAE University. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and lead a vigorous, externally and internally funded research program in the area of the molecular biology of aging. The candidate should also demonstrate an excellent teaching capabilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our understanding of the molecular mechanisms that underlie aging and age-related diseases, and to translate this knowledge into therapeutic strategies. Key Responsibilities: Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of molecular biology of aging. Obtain external funding to support research activities. Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in molecular biology and related fields. Supervise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research. Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers within and outside the institution. Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.

Minimum Qualification

A Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field. Postdoctoral experience in aging research or a closely related area. A strong record of research accomplishments and publications in the field of aging. Demonstrated potential to secure external research funding. Experience in teaching and mentoring students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
