Assistant/Associate Professor in Early Childhood Education
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) College of Education invites applications for two posts of Assistant/Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education. The successful candidate will have: 1. A PhD/EdD in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field e.g. Childhood Studies; 2. The ability to effectively train students to teach/work in early childhood settings with children aged 0-8; 3. A strong commitment to teaching excellence and student supervision at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels; 4. An excellent research capability in their field of expertise as demonstrated by research metrics e.g. H index, externally funded grants, and publications in highly ranked journals 5. Proven track record of working with outside agencies on project work. The application package should include (1) a cover letter, (2) a detailed resume, (3) names of two references with contact information, and (4) teaching statement that includes a list of courses taught. Please note candidates MUST have an earned PhD/EdD. UAEU is based in the city of Al Ain in the Abu Dhabi Emirate. This city is approximately 90 minutes’ drive from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. UAEU is ranked 6th in the Arab World and 290th in the World according to QS rankings. English is the language of instruction and communication within UAEU.
