The Department of Integrative Agriculture at the United Arad Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor in Animal Breeding and Genetics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and services in the field of animal breeding and genetics. Individuals with expertise in the genetic aspects of animal production are encouraged to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate courses in animal breeding and genetics. • Conduct cutting-edge research in areas related to animal breeding, genetics, and biotechnology. • Engage in service activities, including academic advising, committee participation, and outreach to the community and industry. • Demonstrate a commitment to fostering sustainable and climate-smart agriculture practices.

Minimum Qualification

• Ph.D. in Animal Science, Genetics, or a closely related fields. • Expertise in animal breeding and genetics. • Proven record of impactful research, extramural funding, and publications in reputable journals. • Experience in undergraduate teaching and graduate mentoring.

Preferred Qualification

• Postdoctoral experience in animal breeding or related areas. • Background in small and large ruminant production. • Previous experience in breeding and animal genetics.

Expected Skills

Capability to develop model systems for industry and small/large scale farmers is desirable. Experience in technology transfer and extension activities will be an added advantage.
