The Architectural Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant in the area of Building resilience and sustainability. The research assistant should be knowledgeable of building performance simulation techniques and tools. The candidate should be able to perform parametric analysis and optimization using building performance simulation tools and visualize and analyze results

An appropriate educational degree supplemented with documented evidence to support the following: • Bachelor degree in Architectural Engineering • Ability to use building performance simulation tools such as EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, eQuest, and LBNL Comfen. • Excellent technical writing skills • Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role.

• Masters degree in Architectural Engineering • Previous journal and/or conference publications • Knowledge of a programming language such as R or Python for data analysis and visualization • Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands • Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace
