The Department of Information Systems and Security, College of Information Technology (CIT), United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites highly qualified individuals to apply for a faculty position at the rank of an Assistant Professor in the field of Information Technology with emphasis on Cloud Computing and Big Data. CIT seeks candidates who can contribute to its growing undergraduate and graduate programs in Information Technology and related areas, through excellence in teaching and research. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Information Technology or a closely related field. They must demonstrate research capabilities to develop and sustain an internally and externally funded research program in the areas of Cloud Computing, Big Data, and other related areas and must have an excellent record of published research findings in top-tier journals and highly reputable conferences. Conducting interdisciplinary research in areas where Information Technology can be applied is considered a plus. Innovative teaching skills with experience in blended learning and other interactive teaching methodologies are highly desired. CIT has undergraduate programs in information technology, computer science, information security, and computer engineering and is home to several graduate programs including an MSc in Information Technology Management, an MSc in Information Security, an MSc in IoT, an MSc in Software Engineering and a PhD in Informatics and Computing. PhD in Information Technology or a closely related field. Strong record of research output in the areas of Cloud Computing and Big Data, and the ability to teach undergraduate/graduate courses.

Demonstrated expertise in methodologies, tools, and techniques in the areas of Cloud Computing and Big Data, experience in securing research grants and approved patents.
