IP Commer. Projects Coordinator
The IP Commercialization Coordinator is expected to manage the process of bringing intellectual property (IP) assets from the research and development stage to the commercialization stage. He/She will work closely with researchers, legal professionals, business development teams, and external partners to assess, protect, license, and monetize intellectual property generated by our organization. His/Her role will involve navigating the complexities of IP law, market analysis, and negotiation to maximize the value and impact of the IP portfolio of UAE University. His/Her main role is to ensure the commercialization of a good number of the granted patents Key Responsibilities Collaborate with research teams to identify and evaluate potential intellectual property arising from research and development activities. Conduct comprehensive assessments of IP assets, including patentability, market potential, competitive landscape, and commercial viability. Develop strategic plans for IP protection and commercialization, considering market trends, industry standards, and business objectives. Maintain accurate records of IP assets, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets, and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Identify potential licensing opportunities for IP assets and negotiate licensing agreements with external partners, including industry collaborators, startups, and established companies. Conduct market research and analysis to assess the commercial potential of IP assets Identify target markets, industry players, and competitive positioning.
Bachelor’s degree with a comprehensive inter-personal and public communication skills Excellent writing, presentation and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently, with strong organizational and project management skills.
