Job Description

Exciting Post-doctorate position is available for motivated and experienced researcher in an area focused on “Pant-Polyphenolic Characterization, bioactive properties, formulation, analysis and consumers acceptability of novel beverage and drinks”. Furthermore, stability and bio-accessibility bioactive compounds in the formulated beverages under simulated gastro-intestinal digestion (SGID) conditions will be explored. Key laboratory techniques involved are likely to be HPLC, in-vitro and cell culture-based assays, microplate reader, spectroscopy, thermal and non-thermal processing techniques etc. This position would suit a food scientist, a nutritionist or biochemist with strong lab skills and preferably experience in above mentioned areas. The candidate will have to work independently in a laboratory conditions and is expected to have good manuscript writing skills. This is a position with very high expectation from the Post-Doc fellow with respect to leading the research activities, supervising and assisting under-graduate and graduate students and leading the manuscript writing part.

Minimum Qualification

The candidate is expected to have a PhD in Food Science, Food Technology, or a closely related field, from a reputable University. Previous post-doctoral experience will be an asset. Indicatively, evidence of experience and impact of previous relevant research can be provided through publication metrics.

Preferred Qualification

Previous experience addressing the theme of this research project will be highly preferred. Evidence of independent thinking, and leading the research project will be highly preferred. The Post-Doc should be well versed in interdisciplinary projects, therefore evidenced experience of interaction with a range of stakeholders (academia, government entities, research organizations, relevant industry) is considered a strong asset. Previous research experience and future research intent should be included in detail in the research intent document.
