GNSS Engineer
The NSSTC is looking to hire a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) engineer to work on the development of NSSTC Space navigation projects. This position combines development, research and support activities within the domain of GNSS Timing, Positioning and Navigation. Understand the architecture of the satellite payloads and their main functionalities o Support the functional testing of satellite payload and payload performance validation Support the preparation of payload test documentations Understand GNSS ground receiver architecture, interfaces Understand the architecture of GNSS signal processing and performance indicators Participate payload end-to-end test, in orbit test and validation activities The ability to work in a team is required. Travel may be required – both domestic and international. The position is located at the NSSTC facility in Al Ain. Compensation based on experience level
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with communication major or relevant
Knowledge about laboratory instruments: spectrum analyzer, VNA, multimeter, oscilloscope and power supplies. Knowledge in digital backend signal processing (correlation, demodulation and decoding). Knowledge in Global Navigation Satellite Service (GNSS) signal processing is a plus. Possess knowledge in Radio Frequency (RF) front end electronics and antennas. Knowledge of navigation system theory. Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB and Python programming skills. Experience with a space project (e.g. Cubesat) considered a plus. Flexibility adapting to new problems, tools, and environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Passion and ambition to be the best in what you do. Fluency in English is required.
