Communication Engineer
The Communication Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and testing of RF components within the ground station. This role includes ensuring the functionality and performance of antennas, transmitters, receivers, and other RF systems used in satellite communication. The engineer will also support satellite missions by participating in satellite-to-ground station testing, RF link budgeting, and troubleshooting RF-related issues. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in RF systems engineering, satellite operations, and ground station management. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Assist with setup, testing, and maintenance of ground station components, including antennas, RF equipment, and related systems. - Support satellite missions by participating in ground station operations and satellite-to-ground station testing. - Perform RF link calculations to ensure optimal communication between satellites and ground stations. - Conduct RF testing, calibration, and system validation for antennas and communication systems. - Help monitor and troubleshoot ground station systems during satellite passes and daily operations. - Document maintenance activities, test results, and system performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication, or a related field. - Basic knowledge of RF systems, antennas, and satellite communication technology. - Familiarity with RF link budgeting and tools used for calculating signal strength and quality. - Eagerness to learn ground station operations, RF testing, and satellite-ground station integration.
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience (internships or academic projects welcome). - Willingness to gain practical experience in satellite missions, RF systems, and ground station operations. - Ability to collaborate with senior engineers and follow technical procedures in a team environment.
