Postdoctoral Researcher – Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices of Healthcare Providers on reporting Child Maltreatment in the emirate of Abu Dhabi The institute of Public Health (IPH) at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary team working on a project assessing healthcare providers’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding child maltreatment. This project aims to explore healthcare providers' awareness and behaviors in identifying and responding to cases of child abuse and maltreatment. The successful candidate will contribute to data collection, analysis, and the dissemination of findings to inform relevant programs, policy makers and best practices in healthcare setting Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of research instruments, including surveys and interviews, to assess KAP among healthcare providers related to child maltreatment. • Conduct data collection, including administering surveys, interviews, and focus groups with healthcare providers. • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate statistical software and methods. • Contribute to the preparation and publication of research findings in international peer-reviewed journals. • Present research findings at conferences, workshops, and meetings. Collaborate with the project team, which includes principal investigator, coinvestigators and public health experts, to ensure the successful execution of the research project Only those candidates selected for interview will be contacted. Minimum Qualification

• Ph.D. in Public Health, Medicine, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.

Expected Skills

• Strong background in research methodologies, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches. • Experience working on health-related research projects, preferably those focused on child maltreatment, child protection, or healthcare provider education. • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, NVivo, R) and advanced statistical techniques. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a record of publication in peer-reviewed journals. • Ability to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team. • Knowledge of child welfare systems and child protection policies is highly desirable. • Experience in survey design, ethnographic research, or KAP studies is an asset.
