The Department of Special & Gifted Education at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a faculty position. Qualified candidates with academic accomplishments will be considered for the rank of Associate Professor in Special Education. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as a demonstrable research capability that will enable them to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in their area of expertise, publish their research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of UAE University. The application package should include a cover letter, a detailed resume, a brief description of current and future research activities, a teaching philosophy, and a list of courses taught. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field. The ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses is a must.

The candidate must have an excellent teaching record and a research profile as an active researcher in the field of Special and Inclusive Education, with a high h-index in research and international collaborations with universities and research centers globally.
