The Lab Specialist in the Biology Department at the College of Science, UAE University will be responsible for managing and supporting laboratory activities related to teaching and research. The specialist will ensure the efficient operation of laboratory facilities, maintain lab equipment, assist in student and faculty research, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in an academic or research institution. • Technical Skills: o Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment and techniques relevant to environmental sciences, molecular Biology, and/or genetic. o Knowledge of lab safety protocols and chemical handling. o Familiarity with laboratory management software is a plus. • Soft Skills: o Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. o Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

• Experience in training students or researchers. • Familiarity with modern laboratory automation and bioinformatics tools. • Previous work experience in an academic institution or research laboratory.
