The Department of Chemical Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant (RA) position. The RA will focus on the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials. Ideal candidates should have a strong ability to work independently and a proven track record in academic writing. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Density Functional Theory (DFT) and an understanding of areas related to photo/electrocatalytic water splitting and CO₂ reduction, batteries/ supercapacitors.

An appropriate educational degree supplemented with documented evidence to support the following: • Master's degree in the related area • Good technical writing skills

• MSc degree • Strong knowledge of MOF, MXenes and 2D materials • Experience related to water splitting or CO2 reduction • Experience related to batteries and supercapacitors
