Assistant/Associate Professor Aquaculture Engineering
The Department of Integrative Agriculture at the UAE University seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor with teaching and research experience at the aquaculture engineering discipline. The candidate should possess experience in supervising student research theses and research projects at graduate level focused on Aquaculture engineering. This individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with students and faculty across the aquaculture and marine fisheries program towards the hands-on development of innovative aquaculture to facilitate students to acquire skills in designing. Candidates are expected to possess theoretical understanding and modern practical experience in using different teaching methods including but not limited to: Auto CAD and/or 3-dimensional (SketchUP, Enscape, blackboard or Lumion etc
• The applicants should have Minimum Ph.D. in aquaculture engineering, or a closely related discipline from distinguished international university and Post-doctoral experience. • Commitment to upholding elevated standards in teaching (in English) and student mentorship. • Proven dedication to fostering diversity and adeptness in interdisciplinary collaboration within the aquaculture domain. • Demonstrated track record of published works in the aquaculture engineering/ science. • Teaching experience in relevant areas • Good h-index according to Scopus ranking • Demonstrated ability to attract internal and external grants.
Candidate responsible for conducting research suitable for the arid region, and mentoring students in the field of aquaculture, with a specific focus on the aquaculture engineering aspects of aquatic farming systems and involves developing and improving the technology and infrastructure used in aquaculture. The selected candidate will fill a permanent position (teaching, research and community service). Primary responsibilities will be teaching lecture and handle practical classes in aquaculture engineering in the undergraduate animal and marine science program
