Postdoctoral Fellow
The Geosciences department at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship to work in our project about Tracing the impact of deep mantle carbon cycles on climate change using the geochemical and isotopic characteristics of UAE carbonatite. Applicants must possess a PhD in geochemistry and have experience in the geochemistry/geochronology of Carbonatites/Alkaline rocks, evidenced by a portfolio of peer-reviewed publications in reputable scientific journals. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in cutting-edge research within the field of geochemistry and isotopic geochemistry, collaborating with leading experts. He/She will engage in all research project stages, from fieldwork and lab analysis to data interpretation. This includes active involvement in academic discussions, team meetings, and the sharing of knowledge, as well as assisting with the preparation of research reports and publications, and maintaining detailed records of research processes and findings. The appointment will be made for 9 months.
