To provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies by coordinating academic, research, and graduate-studies–related processes. The role ensures efficient workflow, compliance with institutional policies, accurate documentation, and timely coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support research activities, graduate programs, and strategic initiatives of the College. Key Tasks and Responsibilities • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, drafting correspondence, and maintaining records. • Coordinate administrative processes related to research activities, graduate programs, and academic initiatives in collaboration with faculty members, departments, and central university units. • Support research-related administration, including coordination of research proposals, grants, reports, approvals, and related documentation. • Prepare, compile, and maintain reports, databases, and files related to research output, graduate enrollment, supervision, and performance indicators. • Liaise with internal offices (HR, Finance, Research Office, Graduate Studies, Housing, and other units) to facilitate smooth administrative processes. • Support organization of meetings, workshops, seminars, thesis defenses, and research-related events. • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of required documents, reports, and approvals. • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive academic, research, and personnel-related information. • Provide backup administrative support to related academic or college administrative functions, as required. • Perform any other duties assigned by the Assistant Dean or direct supervisor in support of research and graduate studies operations.
Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree
Preferred qualification MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- 1-3 years of administrative experience - Fluent in English and preferably Arabic as well - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis situations with composure - Organized to meet deadlines
