Job Description

The Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the College of Business and Economics, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow position. This role supports UAEU’s strategic priorities in digital transformation, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic development. The successful candidate will contribute to high-impact, policy-relevant research in areas such as sustainable transitions, digital marketing, emerging technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence and the metaverse), consumer behavior, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and SME development in the UAE and beyond. Working under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), the postdoctoral fellow will actively participate in ongoing projects and help develop new research initiatives. The appointment is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension (6–12 months), subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. Progress will be evaluated through regular meetings and clearly defined research outputs, including publications and project deliverables. Applicants should have research interests aligned with one or more of the following areas: digital marketing and analytics; artificial intelligence and technology adoption; consumer behavior and customer experience; entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems; and SMEs, family businesses, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong research profile, with publications or clear potential to publish in high-quality journals. They should possess solid methodological expertise (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) and proficiency in analytical tools such as SPSS/AMOS, Stata, R, Python, or NVivo. Excellent academic writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills, as well as fluency in English (written and spoken), are required. Experience in funded research projects will be considered an advantage. Minimum Qualification

PhD in Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Business Administration/ Management, or a closely related discipline from an accredited and reputable university.

Preferred Qualification

A strong research track record with publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals or a well-developed publication pipeline Demonstrated expertise in quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method research designs Proficiency in analytical and statistical software (e.g., SPSS/AMOS, Stata, R, Python, NVivo) Experience in working on funded research projects, grant writing, or collaborative research initiatives Evidence of engagement with applied or policy-relevant research Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary research and international collaborations
