Postdoctoral Fellow
The Information Systems & Security (ISS) Department, College of Information Technology (CIT) at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic research team working on the Secure and Resilient Internet of Vehicles (SERE-IoV) project. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in vehicular cybersecurity, physical layer security, and artificial intelligence-driven threat detection. The successful candidate will work on developing innovative security frameworks for next-generation intelligent transportation systems (ITS). This project offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of Cybersecurity, Communication Engineering, computer science, and AI. Responsibilities: • Conduct advanced research on modeling, performance evaluation, and security analysis for V2X communication networks. • Develop and implement advanced AI/ML/DL models for proactive threat detection and anomaly identification in V2X networks. • Evaluate model performance, robustness, and computational efficiency for deployment on resource-constrained vehicular platforms. • Develop hardware-based proof-of-concept implementations demonstrating the feasibility of proposed security frameworks. • Publish high-quality peer-reviewed journal articles and Present research findings at international conferences and workshops. • Participate in project meetings and progress reviews, and mentor junior researchers and students on project-related topics.
• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, AI, or a closely related field. • Strong academic record with evidence of research excellence. • Background in AI, ML, or DL.
• Strong background in Wireless communication, OWC, IoT, or vehicular networks. • Strong background in AI, ML, or DL. • Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, with experience in libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
