Job Description

The Medical Education Technical Support Specialist serves as a bridge between the medical education faculty and the technical development team. This role supports the implementation and continuous improvement of educational systems, assists in faculty training, analyzes feedback, and contributes to minor development tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of medical curricula, assessment methodologies, and educational systems, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with both academic and technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical & Implementation Support • Collaborate with the development team to support the implementation of medical education platforms and tools. • Translate academic requirements into functional specifications for developers. • Assist in system testing, validation, and deployment processes. • Provide ongoing technical support to ensure smooth system operation. 2. Faculty Training & Support • Conduct training sessions and workshops for faculty on using educational systems and digital tools. • Develop user guides, training materials, and documentation. • Provide one-on-one support to faculty members as needed. 3. Feedback Collection & Analysis • Collect feedback from faculty and stakeholders regarding system usability and educational effectiveness. • Analyze feedback to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. • Prepare reports and recommendations for system enhancements. 4. Collaboration with Development Team • Act as a liaison between faculty and developers to ensure alignment between educational needs and technical solutions. • Participate in meetings to discuss feature improvements and system updates. • Support minor development tasks (e.g., configuration, testing, basic enhancements) as needed. 5. Educational Alignment • Ensure that implemented systems align with medical curricula, assessment strategies, and accreditation standards. • Support integration of curriculum mapping and assessment tools within the system.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor or Master’s degree in IT in education or a related field

Expected Skills

• Experience in medical education environments (e.g., medical colleges, academic institutions). • Exposure to educational technologies or Learning Management Systems (LMS). • Understanding of software development processes. • Strong understanding of medical curricula and assessment frameworks. • Familiarity with accreditation standards and educational best practices. • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Analytical skills for interpreting feedback and data. • Basic technical skills (e.g., system configuration, testing, or light development). • Training and presentation skills. • Experience with curriculum management systems or assessment platforms. • Knowledge of data analysis tools. • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.
